HANNIBAL MUSIC ACADEMY

STUDENT RECITALS

JUNE 13TH & 20TH AT 10AM

The Generation Gap Band lives up to its name in the best possible way — a vibrant mix of musicians whose ages span from teenagers to seasoned seniors, all united by a shared love of timeless music. Hailing from New London, Center, Hannibal, Kansas City, Troy, and Oregon, this eclectic group brings Classic Rock, Motown grooves, Manilow melodies, Eagles harmonies, and the iconic sounds of Elton John and Billy Joel to life. The band features the impeccable Lon Sitton on piano, whose mastery shines all the brighter given that he has been blind since birth. With an exceptionally wide vocal range, lead vocalist Mark Alexander anchors the sound, joined by Jacob Stinson on acoustic guitar, Nick McMillen on bass, and the dynamic percussion duo of Ben Craig and Noah McMillen. Their horn section adds rich texture with John Alexander on trombone, Noah Krisco on trumpet, and Matthew Schroeter on saxophone. Together, they create a joyful, cross‐generational musical experience that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly new.
